A cork mat is an insulating layer used during the installation of laminated floors or wooden panels. It is made of cork, i.e. natural material obtained from cork oak bark, which is elastic, light and has insulation properties. Cork has sound damping properties, which makes the cork mat under the panels effective in reducing impact sounds and walking sounds, which is especially important in apartments. Cork mat can correct slight unevenness of the floor, ensuring easier installation of floor panels.
