U-value is a parameter determining the heat transfer coefficient for the door. This is one of the basic elements allowing you to choose the right door to your home. This coefficient means the amount of heat that is able to pass through about 1 square meter of the door surface in less than an hour. As a last resort, this resistance varies depending on the thickness of the door, therefore, the higher the coefficient, the better and more effective the protection against cold.
