The concept of RS – Resistance Classes – refers to the classification system used to assess the level of safety and resilience of various products (such as doors, windows, locks, glass or entire security systems) for attempts to break in or other types of damage. This system is particularly important in the context of security in construction and carpentry. The RS system usually includes several resistance classes, starting from the lowest (least burglary-resistant) to the highest (most resistant). Each resistance class is defined by a set of criteria and tests which the product must meet to be eligible.
